The World Health Organization is a specialized council of the United Nations dedicated to the promotion of international public health. Members of the World Health Organization advocate for the fulfillment of the best possible standard of health and health care, improve equity in health, reduce health risks, promote healthy lifestyles, and respond to determinants of health for citizens of all countries associated with the United Nations. Achieving this through establishing and enforcing public policies for health, taking action in health promotion, self-care, and health protection. Their success is measured by their ability to implement the integration of health promotion into national health strategies, and their ability to sustain hypothetical financing of health promotion interventions. The Chairs for the WHO at BAMUN this year are Derek Wang and Emanuel Mazufanti.
